The origins of Metal Industries, Inc. date back to the 1940s when
Vincent D. Zito started a business called the Metropolitan Tool and
Machine Company. Established in the heart of Hartford, Connecticut's
manufacturing district, Metropolitan successfully fabricated parts
for a variety of finished products. Many of these products support
the efforts of US troops fighting in World War II.
The family tradition continued when Vincent A. Zito took charge of
the company in the late 1950s and incorporated the company as Metal
Industries, Inc. in 1960. When the US went into space, Metal Industries
was on-board having developed and manufactured radiator cooling
components for the space suits for the Mercury space program.
Continued research and product development resulted in several patents
being awarded to Metal Industries.
Now in the capable hands of Vincent M. Zito, as a third-generation
business, Metal Industries has expanded into a fully-equipped facility
offering services for machine component repair, application of
metalized and ceramic coatings and product fabrication for jobs of
various size, scale and application.
Management personnel have over 60 years of continued fabrication
experience, which is valuable to ensure efficiency and quality work.
Metal Industries, prides itself on: excellent service with fast turn-around times
